Deputy Head, Asset Liability Management (Retail Bank Client)Role Overview My client is seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy Head of Asset Liability Management (ALM) for the Financial Management Department to lead our ALM initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing the bank's balance sheet, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement ALM strategies to optimize the bank’s interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and capital management. Conduct thorough analyses of asset and liability profiles to support decision-making processes. Collaborate with senior management to align ALM strategies with overall business objectives. Monitor market trends and regulatory changes that may impact ALM practices. Prepare and present reports on ALM performance and risk exposures to stakeholders. Lead a team of analysts to conduct stress testing and scenario analyses. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset liability management or related fields within the banking sector. Strong understanding of financial markets, risk management principles, and regulatory frameworks. Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools. Good in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).
