Associate Director of Procurement (Shanghai)

Job No.: 88385Job Type: PermanentJob Summary:Our client is a sizable Hong Kong listed company with significant investment in China. They are seeking a high calibre candidate to station in Shanghai covering INDIRECT PROCUREMENT for the whole China market. This is the most senior position in China and reports to the Head of Procurement in Headquarter.Responsibilities:A leadership role managing a team to centralize sourcing & procurement initiatives for the China market.Accountable for development, execution and maintenance of procurement strategies for the team and KPI performance management and process adherence and compliance.Support the Head of Procurement in developing and implementing group procurement initiatives and strategic sourcing projects.Engage support from key stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategies and a smooth implementation of strategy.Maintain deep category knowledge and subject matter expertise to understand macro and micro category drivers. Utilize this information when forming effective category strategies.Participate in the implementation of sourcing and procurement system.Work independently to achieve targets set according to the group strategy or perform additional duties /ad-hoc projects as required.Traveling to local cities in Mainland and occasionally to HK is required.Requirements:Degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Business Administration or related discipline.Holder Chartered member of CIPS, Project Management or similar professional qualification is beneficial.Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience in a sizable organization with over 6 years top management experience.Exposure in leading procurement teams or diverse procurement projects in Mainland China will be an advantage.Experience in e-Procurement implementation, process re-engineering and corporate governance is highly preferred.Solid experience and knowledge of strategic sourcing, contracting and negotiation and supplier management.Demonstrated good interpersonal skills in managing different stakeholders.Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Proven ability in change management planning and execution.Fluent in English, Cantonese & Putonghua.Interested parties please send CV in WORD format with current/expected salary and notice period to CV@jc-search.com.All information will be treated in strict confidence and will be used for recruitment purpose only.Address: Unit 2302, 23/F, New World Tower 118 Queen’s Road CentralCentralHong Kong
