Senior Tax Associate | Asset Management | New Headcount

Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Tax Associate/Senior Associate to join our team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will support our business units by providing tax advisory services and reviewing new businesses and products. You will ensure compliance with internal tax regulations, local tax requirements, and contribute to restructuring and merger projects. Managing tax risks, maintaining relationships with external tax advisors and authorities, and handling tax disputes will be part of your responsibilities. We are seeking a candidate with a strong taxation background, preferably gained from a reputable Big 4 accounting firm, and excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in providing tax advisory services to business units and conducting reviews of new businesses and products.
  • Ensure compliance with internal tax compliance and reporting processes, as well as local tax regulations.
  • Provide tax insights and guidance for restructuring, merger, and acquisition projects.
  • Identify and address potential tax issues to effectively manage and optimize tax risks.
  • Perform and support the development and implementation of BEPS 2.0 Pillar
  • Foster relationships with external tax advisors, tax authorities, and handle any tax disputes that arise.
  • Perform additional tasks and assignments as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting, Accountancy or any equivalent
    • Minimum of 5 years of solid taxation experience, preferably gained from a reputable Big 4 accounting firm.
    • Proficiency in handling tax issues and tax planning across various jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, China, and the United States.
    • Excellent communication skills, both in personal and corporate settings.
    • Strong financial analysis abilities.
    • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Knowledge of Mandarin is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with computer applications, including English and Chinese word processing and Excel.
