My Client, a leading multi‑strategy hedge fund is seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to join its Hong Kong team. The Opportunity This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy, offering broad exposure across trading, portfolio management, and fund governance. You’ll partner closely with investment professionals and senior management to ensure the seamless execution of complex trading activities and robust financial control. Key Responsibilities Operations (≈50%) Oversee daily trade support, position reconciliations, and lifecycle management across global markets and asset classes. Coordinate with trading desks, prime brokers, and fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely trade capture, collateral, and cash management. Manage treasury operations, including liquidity and capital flow management, margin optimization, and cash forecasting. Drive operational process automation and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability. Support new strategy onboarding, product setup, and regulatory compliance initiatives. Finance (≈50%) Lead the finance function, overseeing fund accounting, management reporting, audit coordination, and regulatory filings. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and investor reporting in close collaboration with senior management. Partner with external parties including auditors, tax advisors, and service providers to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance. Develop and refine the firm’s financial control framework and contribute to strategic decision-making initiatives. Ideal Profile 5-10+ years of relevant experience within hedge fund operations, fund finance, or middle office roles. Understanding of multi‑asset products (equities, derivatives, etc.). Proven ability to execute in lean, high‑performance environments with a hands‑on, detail‑driven approach. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, able to balance tactical delivery with strategic input. Academic background in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; CPA qualification advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, front office, and external partners.
