External Investing Group (XIG)
The External Investing Group (XIG) is responsible for identifying, researching, and selecting leading third-party investment managers. We provide investors with advisory and investment solutions across a range of asset classes, including private equity, co-investments, secondaries, hedge funds, GP stakes, real estate, public equity, and fixed income strategies.
Client Portfolio Solutions
The Client Portfolio Solutions team is responsible for managing investor relations across XIG's private equity investment businesses. This includes structuring, launching, and fundraising new private equity funds, building client portfolio construction proposals, and monitoring their execution. We also develop and produce marketing and portfolio performance materials, collect and analyze market data, and manage communication and platform-wide updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and update marketing and client materials, product profiles, pitch books, performance analyses, and annual meeting materials related to XIG private equity strategies.
- Work with senior team members to manage client deliverables and communications, as well as new business development activities such as completion of requests for information (RFIs) and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) during fundraising.
- Effectively articulate the role of private equity strategies within a client's portfolio and explain to internal and external stakeholders the investment strategy.
- Produce scenario analyses and build investment pacing proposals for customized portfolios with exposure across a broad range of private market strategies.
- Manage data room access and content for fundraises, including case studies, sample client reporting, and other documents.
- Answer questions from sales teams across all channels related to XIG private equity funds.
- Coordinate closely with investment team and other internal stakeholders to respond to requests from clients, sales teams, and senior management.
- Evaluate investment performance, portfolio exposures, concentrations, and manager developments for customized private equity portfolios.
- Client management, including addressing investment inquiries, relaying information on notable external manager updates and portfolio companies, and preparation for ongoing client discussions.
- Serve as product manager and key point person to internal and external stakeholders on private equity products.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in private markets and investor relations.
- Excellent analytical, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver high levels of accuracy.
- Knowledge and understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and adaptability to learn other software products.
- Candidate must be a team player and self-motivated, demonstrating a willingness to take on more responsibility over time.
