About the Position

The Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to work on an artificial intelligence-based education project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing AI prediction algorithms to categorize students' learning levels for a specific course.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement AI prediction algorithms to categorize students' learning levels for a specific course
  2. Collaborate with professors and student helpers to develop related websites and courseware
  3. Design and build a system to promote appropriate learning materials to students with a proper learning level
  4. Perform other tasks as assigned by the project lead

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  2. Excellent command of English and Chinese languages
  3. Strong communication and teamwork skills
  4. Strong interests in AI education and machine learning

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Knowledge and experience in machine learning, prediction algorithms, and website development

What We Offer

The appointee will work at the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering and will be sponsored to apply for a work visa in Hong Kong. The initial appointment will be made on a contract basis for one or two years, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
