Job Title: Senior Accountant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Informa PLC. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and high-quality financial services to our business divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly close process for Management Accounts, including reconciliations, accruals, allocations, revenue downloads, pre-payments, variance analysis, and commentary.
  • Be the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed in accordance with Balance Sheet Integrity guidelines and control frameworks.
  • Escalate issues to the Finance Manager in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and publish financial results in relevant finance systems.
  • Communicate with the Shared Service Centre, Group Finance, and Business Teams.
  • Participate in acquisition integration, due diligence, and other projects as required.
  • Work with internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in accounting integration of new products into the SSC accounting structure and systems.
  • Analyze and solve ad-hoc problems using knowledge of business and systems.
  • Perform tax and compliance duties as required by the SSC.

Leadership and People Management:

  • Develop and implement people development tools to optimize team performance.
  • Ensure planning and prioritization of work within the team is optimized to maintain and improve performance metrics.
  • Encourage an inclusive and diverse working environment.
  • Bring team members into discussions to contribute their ideas and feel engaged on issues that affect them.
  • Support, assist, and cover team members as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong academic background, Accounting degree preferable.
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with experience leading an R2R team in a large R2R function.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of R2R processes, including best practice in R2R, people, processes, and technology.
  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of SSO processes and how they fit into the wider environment.
  • Confident in leading and guiding a team through challenging periods.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and achieve deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
  • Solid at building relationships with stakeholders within and outside the organization.
  • Evidence of making decisions at the right time based on available information.
  • Strong people manager who actively engages and embraces talent management conversations.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is a requirement; ability in any other Asian languages is an advantage.

  • Proficient skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook are essential.
