We are seeking a highly skilled Derivatives Lawyer/Documentation Negotiator to join our team at Charterhouse Asia. As a key member of the Global Markets division, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support to our Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives business in Asia.

About the Role:
As a VP Lawyer, you will be responsible for advising on various transactions including derivatives and structured products trading, and providing general regulatory support to the business. Your duties will include:
  • Advising on various transactions including derivatives and structured products trading.
  • Collaborating with relevant business teams and senior management in legal documentation execution and establishing legal policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and negotiating agreements such as ISDA/GMSLA/GMRA with service providers.
  • Performing legal due diligence and minimizing legal risks related to the business and transactions.
  • Managing and instructing external counsels.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A qualified lawyer with 3-8 years of post-qualification experience in derivatives/master documentation, gained either in-house or in private practice.
  • Knowledgeable about the FICC and EQD business and experienced in drafting and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of both English and Chinese.
