Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Assistant to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets our quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
  • Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
  • Communicate assistance needed during busy periods and inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.
  • Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
