M+ Museum seeks a dedicated conservator to join its team in the care and preservation of time-based media artworks.

About the Job

As an Associate Conservator, you will be responsible for the assessment, documentation, and conservation of time-based media artworks. You will work closely with curators, registrars, and legal teams to ensure the long-term stability of artworks.

Your expertise in diagnostic tools, coding languages, and technical skills will enable you to prepare TBM artworks for exhibitions, loans, and acquisitions. You will also collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to implement effective conservation practices.

Key Qualifications
  • Possess a Master's degree in conservation or equivalent experience
  • Have at least 3 years of practical experience working with digital and media artworks in a museum or cultural institution
  • Demonstrate knowledge of conservation strategies for film, video, software, and web-based art
