This 12-month contract position is based in Hong Kong and offers the chance to work with our Asia Pacific equity investment team. Your role as an Associate Product Specialist will be to support business development and product management by interacting with various departments within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • You will prepare and ensure consistency of data and presentation material for client events.
  • You will write and articulate portfolio relevant commentaries for regular client reporting and marketing material.
  • You will regularly interact with portfolio managers and investment team members to ensure accurate delivery of investment related messages in marketing material.
  • You will assist in disseminating product information to relevant stakeholders.
  • You will develop competitor analysis to understand key points of differentiation compared to peers.
  • You will participate in regional product specialist team activities related to product campaigns motivated by the distribution and marketing teams, and product development initiatives.

In the longer term, you will represent fund managers at client and consultant meetings, marketing events. You will originate product information with focus on the investment process, performance explanation, portfolio holdings and illustration of investment case. You will own and lead the external and internal communication of investment related content for marketing purposes.

Requirements:

  • You should have 2-5 years of professional experience in the investment/asset management industry, with understanding of investment markets and portfolio management theory. Internship experience is also considered.
  • Institutional sales, product advisory, fund selection or client service experience is also considered.
  • You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a desire to learn about different investment styles, philosophies, and processes.
  • You should have strong analytical skills, precision, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
  • You should be a team player with the ability to build relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • You should be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of Bloomberg, Morningstar, and CFA qualification is beneficial.
