Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports, as well as monitoring and controlling daily ledger operations and monthly closing processes.
  • Our ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across different departments.
  • The successful candidate will be required to participate in control testing formulation based on financial risk assessment, and contribute to the development and implementation of accounting systems and procedures.
  • In addition, they will be responsible for proposing enhancements to operation efficiency and control effectiveness through simplification, automation and standardization of accounting operation activities.
  • The Financial Reporting Specialist will also participate in ad-hoc projects to support management's decision-making and departmental operations.
  • They will be required to develop and maintain procedure manuals, as well as participate in user acceptance testing for new accounting systems and functionality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
  • Professional qualifications in HKICPA or other recognized professional accounting bodies.
  • At least 4 years' experience in financial reporting or audit experience in a Big Four or reputable accounting firm.
  • Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly in Excel. Chinese word processing skill is essential.
  • Well-versed in written and spoken Chinese and English. Spoken Mandarin is an advantage.
