Job Overview:

The Data Centre Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and energy-efficient operation of our data centres. Reporting to the Data Centre Facilities & Services team, this position requires expertise in technical operations and maintenance of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise outsourced technicians and maintenance contractors to perform day-to-day operations, preventive/corrective maintenance, and life cycle replacement works at HKEX data centres.
  • Coordinate with Building Management Office on routine and ad hoc building maintenance works at secondary data centres.
  • Monitor environment conditions to ensure SLA compliance.
  • Assist in procurement management, vendor management, change management, work orders management, and inventory control for technical-related works.
  • Conduct regular meetings with internal users and external vendors, attend emergency calls outside office hours, and supervise contractors' work during weekends and holidays.
  • Shift duty and 24-hour on-call are required.

Requirements:

  • Degree or higher diploma/certificate in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 5 years of solid experience in data centre operations or specialist E&M contractor, possessing practical techniques in installation, operation, maintenance, and repairing of chiller plant, CRAC, BMS, and critical electrical system.
  • Registered Electrical Worker - Grade A or above.
  • Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
