About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to join our team in Hong Kong. This role offers a great opportunity for aspiring tax professionals to gain regional to international tax experience in a growing company like Synpulse.

The successful candidate will focus on transfer pricing work for Synpulse group companies, including updating the Master File, working with internal stakeholders and external advisors on Local Files documentation. The role will evolve, and the incumbent will help manage regional tax compliance, maintain transfer pricing documentation, support ad-hoc tax projects, improve tax processes, review ongoing tax law changes to identify their potential impact on the company, and assist with audits and inquiries raised by tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Synpulse group transfer pricing compliance documentation including the Master File and Local Files.
  • Work with Finance and conduct periodic reviews on the group's intercompany transfer pricing.
  • Prepare/review tax calculations (e.g., direct and indirect tax), tax returns for group entities, ensuring timely, accurate filing and submission to the tax office.
  • Support tax and statutory audit processes, coordinate with Finance for relevant documentation, prepare/review submission documents, and tax disclosure notes to the accounts.
  • Coordinate with tax authorities and/or external advisors on tax topics.
  • Support in preparing documentation for tax ruling applications.
  • Guide Finance colleagues on tax issues and topics.

Requirements
  • A Certified Public Accountant or tax-accredited professional.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years working in a Big-4 tax department (preference will be given to candidates from the transfer pricing team).
  • Humble, yet diligent, hands-on, solution-driven, goal-oriented working attitude with a high focus on quality.
  • Excellent analytical skills, the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment while effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Candidates with good working knowledge of transfer pricing, regional tax law, and Oracle NetSuite experience will be highly regarded.
