  • Provide 24x7 online counseling services for youth emotional health and well-being.

  • Develop and implement volunteer services, including planning and training, to support frontline services.
    \t
  • Liaise with the community, schools, and stakeholders to promote youth suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
    \t
  • Conceive and implement youth emotional health activities to raise public awareness and education.
    \t
  • Perform other delegated tasks as required.


Entry Requirements

Study Fields:

A Master's degree in Counselling or a related field is required. Priority will be given to candidates with backgrounds and work experience in counselling or youth work.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience in case counseling and crisis management is preferred. Familiarity with youth online culture and social media trends is also required. Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese is necessary.

Personal Attributes:

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and collectively, and under pressure. Self-motivation, innovative problem-solving skills, a strong sense of commitment and responsibility, and adaptability to shift work are essential.

Additional Requirements:

Experience in case counseling and related volunteer training is preferred.

Remarks:

Open Up is a 24/7 online text platform designed to support youngsters experiencing emotional distress from various aspects. Through the platform, youngsters can ventilate their suffering and stress, and feel a sense of companionship and self-determination. The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups is developing the voluntary services of Open Up.
