We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Conservator to join our team and lead our conservation efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned conservator to work on a wide range of projects, including the conservation and scientific research of museum and art objects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading conservation projects, including planning, executing, and evaluating conservation treatments;
  • Conducting research and contributing to the field of conservation and scientific research;
  • Collaborating with curators, registrars, and other teams to ensure the proper care of the museum's collection and loans;
  • Developing and implementing guidelines, policies, and procedures for the conservation and care of the museum's collections;
  • Providing advice and training to other staff members and developing collaborative relationships with external stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you should have a master's degree in conservation or a related field, at least 10 years of verifiable museum conservation experience, and a broad range of expert knowledge of techniques, materials, and equipment used in conservation. You should also have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
