Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Accountant to join our team at Fashion Group as a key player in maintaining the financial books for our dedicated brand(s) in Asia Pacific. As a member of our Finance & Accounting team, you will work closely with a small team of accounting officers to handle daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the Finance team and other departments to achieve desired results in a fast-paced environment with changes and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finalize accounting entries for the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Officers to handle daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Close monthly financial books, reviewing and reconciling all transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly trial balance review and related schedules for discussion with Business Planning for the brand(s), providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Prepare inter-company reconciliation and perform follow-up actions as needed, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Prepare inventory reconciliation and maintain fixed assets register, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Calculate and control monthly rental expenses for each point of sales, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Draft monthly accruals for discussion with Business Planning for each brand, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Review and finalize bank reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly Group reporting (SyRUS), providing timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of various tax reporting and audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Participate in internal audit and control review, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Participate in other projects such as system enhancement in other markets, new store openings, and business takeovers, providing financial expertise and support.
  • Other ad hoc tasks assigned by management, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Semi-qualified Accountant/CPA student member.
  • Minimum 6 years' relevant experience, with at least 2 years in the retail segment.
  • Experience in handling full set of books and General Ledger for multiple entities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and proactive working attitude, with ability to work and think independently.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, with good written skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365, a plus.
