Job Summary

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is seeking a highly skilled Project Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating proposed investments, monitoring compliance to project and investment governance, and serving as the Chief of Staff for the Investment Committee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investment Review and Evaluation
    • Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of proposed investments to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
    • Develop and maintain a process for the management and coordination of all project investments to support Cathay Pacific's expenditure governance.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
    • Review project-related monthly reports to ensure transparency on project progress and health.
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on company-wide project spend as requested by senior management.
  • Investment Governance Framework
    • Review Board Papers for project investments requiring approval from the Board.
    • Provide introduction, briefing, and uplift sessions on project governance and related processes to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Support and Coordination for the Investment Committee
    • Attend monthly Investment Committee meetings and serve as the Chief of Staff.
    • Issue approval notifications to project investment owners and follow up on outstanding issues.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree and/or experience in Finance or Business.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA required.
  • Minimum 8 years of project or finance experience, with experience in reviewing business projects.
  • Sound grasp of financial principles of project evaluation and business acumen.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills, with high standards of written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills to all levels in the organization, with agility to work within a team environment.
