Program Overview

This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience through hands-on mentorship and a well-structured educational program. Over a period of 10-12 weeks, interns will be paired with seasoned professionals who will guide them through real-world projects tailored to enhance their skills. Participants will have access to both physical and virtual educational resources, engage with guest speakers, and partake in social events, all aimed at giving a genuine insight into the work environment.

Position Details

As a Sales and Trading intern, you will collaborate with our knowledgeable Sales and Trading teams, gaining insights into how we assist institutional clients with their trading requirements across various asset classes. You will be exposed to the daily client inquiries we manage and learn about our approach to servicing clients, issuers, and potential clients. This internship promises a dynamic and immersive experience, including internal training sessions on diverse topics that cover the essential principles of finance and trading.

Candidate Profile

We seek individuals who are intelligent, motivated, and eager to engage with clients to solve intriguing challenges. Our focus is on your thought process and learning ability rather than your current knowledge base. Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Demonstrate proactivity, reliability, and courtesy, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Exhibit self-motivation and an entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiastic about building client and partner relationships
  • Possess strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, comfortable working with numerical data
  • Display exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Willingness to learn VBA, SQL, and/or Python
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Japanese or Malay is advantageous

Note: Jane Street will cover travel expenses to and from the program location, as well as provide accommodation for the duration of the internship.
