The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority invites exceptional talent to join its team as an Associate Conservator, Time-Based Media.

About the Position

As a key member of the museum's conservation team, you will be responsible for the care, display, and acquisition of media artworks. Your expertise in time-based media conservation, digital art, and software-based artworks will enable you to develop strategies to address obsolescence and ensure the long-term stability of artworks.

You will work closely with curators, registrars, and legal teams to ensure that all media artworks are properly stored, transported, and installed. Your strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.

Requirements
  • Possess a Master's degree in conservation or equivalent experience
  • Have at least 3 years of practical experience working with digital and media artworks in a museum or cultural institution
  • Demonstrate knowledge of conservation strategies for film, video, software, and web-based art

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about the preservation of modern and contemporary art.
