Job Title: Tax Advisory Manager

KPMG China is seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisory Manager to join our Private Enterprise team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing tax advisory and compliance assignments, including preparing tax advice and reports for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage tax advisory and compliance assignments, including preparing tax advice and reports for clients
  • Develop and implement innovative ways to approach client needs, using research into client businesses to initiate new service and product offerings
  • Understand the landscape of HNW and UHNW individuals, privately held family businesses, and family offices to address their business and family needs
  • Act as a project manager to work collaboratively with a team of KPMG subject matter experts to bring forward broad-based business skills and tailored solutions to clients
  • Familiar with and keep abreast of the latest KPMG services offerings for target clients
  • Establish and maintain connections with external intermediaries, including industry associations, private bankers, lawyers, and trustees
Requirements:
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance, or any other business-related discipline, and ideally a professional qualification (accounting or legal)
  • Minimum six years of experience, preferably in a professional services firm or financial institution
  • Knowledge and experience in HK tax law or PRC tax law is required
  • Direct client delivery experience in any professional services line is a plus
  • A commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to connect the dots and turn abstract ideas into actionable plans and deliverables
  • Confident in dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally, and in bringing divergent priorities to a common ground
  • A strong team player with project management experience, comfortable working independently
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin are both required)
