**Job Summary**

Advanced Energy is seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Electronic Engineer to lead the development of high power power supply units (PSUs). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing high power PSUs, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement high power PSU designs, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the CAD/ME/Magnetic team to complete schematic, mechanical packaging, thermal simulation, and magnetic parts design and optimization.
  • Lead circuit debug and testing efforts, instructing and training junior electrical engineers as needed.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to resolve DFM issues and ensure smooth production processes.
  • Participate in design review meetings with customers, responding to technical questions and ensuring design requirements are met.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 12 years of experience in switching power supply hardware development, with a focus on high power applications.
  • Expertise in designing switching power supply topologies, including PFC, LLC, flyback, and others.
  • Proficiency in magnetic design, including power transformers and inductors.
  • Master's level proficiency in simulation and calculation tools, such as MatchCAD, Simetrix/Simplis, and PLECS.
  • Familiarity with power semiconductors, including MOSFETs, diodes, SiC diodes/FETs, GaN, and others.
  • Experience in PSU thermal and EMI designs.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
