The Job Description
- Oversee operations at our medical waste treatment plant ensuring all processes are carried out safely efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage shift lead team to ensure adherence to waste treatment schedule and compliance with operational procedures health safety environmental and performance requirements.
- Plan organize direct and control resources such as machinery and manpower during shifts.
- Monitor plant processes react to plant upsets/malfunctions troubleshoot issues and take corrective actions to restore normal operations.
- Identify operational issues equipment malfunctions or process deviations and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance Teams to resolve technical problems.
- Respond to alarms and emergency conditions taking steps to correct and normalize conditions.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to subordinates and support development of junior operators.
- Higher Diploma or above in Chemical Engineering Operations Management Engineering or related discipline required.
- At least 5 years of experience in chemical plant or process plant operations preferred.
- Knowledge in wastewater treatment incineration or boiler operations an advantage certification as water tube boiler operator or forklift driver a plus.
- Work in continuous rotating shift 44 hours per week 4-6 days per week.
- 13 months salary 12 days annual leave bank holiday medical insurance.
