Position Overview:
As a Senior Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding and managing the logistics team in daily operational activities, ensuring seamless execution and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the logistics team to ensure efficient daily operations and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate bookings and manage all operational elements with shipping lines and logistics providers.
- Prepare and review comprehensive shipping documentation for air, ocean, and truck import/export shipments.
- Identify potential issues and promptly escalate them to the relevant personnel for resolution.
- Engage actively with key stakeholders to promote effective communication.
- Assist in budget tracking and manage variances effectively.
- Monitor vendor performance metrics and uphold internal service agreements.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance with import/export regulations.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field is required.
- Experience in freight forwarding and managing freight forwarders is essential.
- Proficient in handling complete sets of shipment documentation.
- Familiarity with SAP/Oracle ERP systems is advantageous.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are necessary.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Mandarin language skills are a plus.
