Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Automotive Industry Research Analyst to join our expanding team in Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Automotives team by conducting research, generating insights, and developing financial models. This role requires a strong understanding of company financial data, industry leading data, Bloomberg's datasets, financial models, issuer calls, and announcements.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to daily research activities, including data aggregation, financial modeling, written research, and idea generation.
- Monitor and interpret major company developments, identifying macro themes and trends affecting industries.
- Manage significant data analysis and modeling responsibilities, synthesizing results, drawing conclusions, and developing concise narratives.
- Review submitted research for adherence to global quality standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments and external professionals.
- Collaborate with data and core business groups to enhance content and functionality across the terminal.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in financial market research or industry-specific subject matter expertise.
- Proficient knowledge of the Automotive sector.
- A deep understanding of advanced finance and accounting concepts.
- Solid experience performing quantitative financial analysis, including financial statement analysis and modeling.
- The ability to spot anomalies in financial data, think critically, and identify discrepancies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- A high level of curiosity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
