The Hong Kong Genome Institute is committed to advancing the development of genomic medicine in Hong Kong. We are seeking a Laboratory Research Associate to join our team and contribute to our HKGP project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily and routine laboratory operations, maintaining equipment, and analyzing clinical specimens using molecular testing methods. You will also assist in implementing quality control programs, developing new protocols, and evaluating new sequencing technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory sciences, biochemistry, or biology, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in genetic research laboratories or medical laboratories providing genetic testing. A Certificate of Registration (MLT Part I) and valid Practising Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board, Hong Kong (MLT Board), are also required.
The successful candidate will be offered attractive remuneration and appointed on an initial two-year contract, subject to mutual agreement for contract renewal.
