Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Manager to join our team at Sun Life Financial, Inc. in the Private Equities and Alternatives department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of our HuBS Private Equities and Alternatives portfolios, working closely with our Portfolio Manager and the Private Equities team in SLC North America.

Main Responsibilities:

* Assist the Portfolio Manager in managing the HuBS GA Private Equities and Alternatives portfolios in accordance with our in-house philosophy, risk appetite, and objectives.
* Work closely with the Private Equities team to execute and manage pipelines and portfolios.
* Analyze and understand economic, sector, and market trends.
* Conduct due diligence on securities and funds, monitoring their performance, risks, and compliance.
* Prepare and present reports to the local Investment Management Committee (IMC) and Asset Liability Committee (ALCO).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

* In-depth knowledge of private equities and alternative investments.
* Fund management industry experience, including selecting best-fit managers.
* Insurance investment management experience is an asset.
* Proficiency in Bloomberg and other alternative data sources, such as Preqin.
* Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
* At least 7 years of related working experience in the financial industry, including leading and managing people.
* Professional certifications like CFA, CAIA, MBA, Accounting, and Actuarial are an advantage.
