In this position, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities, encompassing index management and development, programming, as well as client and technical support. Your Responsibilities1. Index Management and Development:- Guarantee the precise execution of numerous quantitative and cross-asset indexing strategies daily.
- Oversee, validate, and confirm the accuracy of index calculations and rebalancing, along with the data utilized for computations, including equities, fixed income, ETFs, funds, derivatives, commodities, currencies, interest rates, alternatives, and multi-asset indices.
- Design and introduce new indices for the Structured Products sector in close collaboration with our clients and Sales team.
- Employ Python, SQL, and various APIs to automate and optimize data management, development, operational, and reporting workflows.
- Coordinate data sourcing, consumption, and integration within our cloud IT infrastructure, working alongside IT/Data and Product Development teams.
- Deliver prompt expert assistance to address inquiries from prominent international financial institutions, identifying quantitative and technical challenges, diagnosing root causes, troubleshooting, and escalating issues as necessary.
- Enhance our SOPs and knowledge base with valuable insights regarding operations, product development, indices offered, common challenges, troubleshooting strategies, etc.
- Proactively engage with our clientele to broaden our index development initiatives while promoting our existing offerings.
- Collaborate with custodians, data vendors, and aggregators to support our operations.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience in Object-Oriented Programming using Python and SQL, along with familiarity with APIs and version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, procedural and strategic thinking skills; motivated to identify issues, implement solutions, enhance processes, and expand business opportunities.
- A highly organized, confident, and meticulous working style with a strong sense of accountability.
- Familiarity with financial datasets and applications such as FactSet, Refinitiv, and Bloomberg, as well as Runbook automation is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a financial institution is beneficial.
