Job Summary

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups is seeking a Youth Work Officer to join our team. As a Youth Work Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing online youth support services, training and supervising volunteers, and assisting in the management of the youth development center.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement online youth support services, including text-based counseling and online support groups.
• Train and supervise volunteers to provide online support services.
• Assist in the management of the youth development center, including coordinating events and activities.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of youth development programs and activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, and other stakeholders to promote the youth development center and its services.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other youth development professionals to develop and implement ongoing services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

A recognized Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.

Knowledge and Skills

Excellent knowledge of online culture and technology.

Good information technology application skills.

Experience in case work and crisis management is an asset.

Certifications and Licenses

Registered Social Worker under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance.

Personal Attributes

Proactive, independent, patient, and team-oriented with the ability to adapt to rotating shifts.

Additional Requirements

Experience in volunteer training and management is an asset.
