Global Banking Credit Specialist

The Global Banking Credit Specialist will be responsible for managing credit risk and risk/return benefit for a complex portfolio of Global Banking (GB) accounts. This involves close coordination with the originating deal team, credit/risk stakeholders, clients, agencies, other lenders, relationship managers, loan syndications, and GB product partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Credit risk management, including preparing credit application memos, discussing and getting them approved from credit, quarterly borrower performance review and updates, covenant monitoring, site visits, highlighting early alert and horizon risks, amongst others.
- Risk/return management, ensuring Bank's RoRWA and RoTE are managed above given thresholds by managing client, deal, and portfolio level RoRWA, recommending assets to be sold or de-risked through insurance, FRP, and engaging with stakeholders/investors/lenders for marketing these assets.
- Supporting new origination: attending pipeline calls, reviewing, analysing, and supporting all new deals, holding positions that bank underwrites by understanding risks, deal, and group level risk/return, working with product partners in writing new deal credit application memos.
- Active management of credit risk, focusing on proactive, comprehensive, and timely credit analysis through BCA renewals, quarterly performance reporting, waiver and amendment requests, and documentation of credit events.
- Evaluation and understanding of risks associated with financing solutions, leverage, acquisition finance, commercial real estate, project and export finance, structured finance assets, structural, contractual, and external risks.
