Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to oversee the management of our servers and datacenter environments. This key position will be responsible for leading initiatives such as datacenter redesign and infrastructure enhancements, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of servers and datacenter environments, ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead projects focused on datacenter redesign and infrastructure optimization, driving business growth through technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement best practices and improve system performance, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders, promoting knowledge sharing and expertise development.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox) and concepts, ensuring efficient resource utilization and scalability.
  • Strong understanding of server hardware and architecture, enabling informed decisions on infrastructure investments.
  • Hands-on experience in datacenter operations and management, guaranteeing smooth day-to-day activities.
  • Expertise in operating systems, specifically Windows and Linux, facilitating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana), allowing for proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, supporting effective communication and collaboration among teams.

Other Essential Skills:

  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, ensuring process consistency and quality throughout the organization.
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken), facilitating clear communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and challenge stakeholders effectively, driving business outcomes.
  • Self-motivated learner with a passion for technology, embracing ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Experience with open-source ecosystems, promoting cost-effectiveness and innovation in infrastructure solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with infrastructure as code, automation, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), enabling streamlined deployment and management of infrastructure resources.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies (e.g., SAN, Dell EMC, ZFS, TrueNAS, HCI), supporting efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Aliyun), allowing for flexible and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendor relationships, ensuring reliable and secure partnerships.
  • Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus, supporting communication with global stakeholders.
  • Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), promoting effective incident management and service delivery.
