About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Investments/Research Analyst, where you will play a key role in constructing sustainable investment perspectives and assessing new investment opportunities in the APAC and Emerging Markets.

As a member of our Investment Division, you will be responsible for developing scalable investment frameworks and quantitative analysis tools to enhance the investment process. You will also monitor daily index changes and relevant corporate action events, and actively contribute to regular investment team meetings to provide updates on macros and team-managed portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the investment universe, with a focus on APAC and Emerging Markets
  • Enhance the investment process through the development of scalable investment frameworks and quantitative analysis tools
  • Monitor daily index changes and relevant corporate action events
  • Contribute to regular investment team meetings to provide updates on macros and team-managed portfolios
  • Act as a liaison between Portfolio Management, Research, and Product teams to ensure a consistent and meaningful approach for the APAC and Emerging Market sectors
  • Participate in new business pitches to clients and prospects as needed
  • Partner with product and coverage teams to drive consistency and quality in marketing, RFPs, product development, and other client-related matters
  • Provide technical support for DWS' APAC strategies as needed
  • Develop consistent reporting approaches for sustainable, APAC, and Emerging Market strategies and portfolios

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in investment analysis and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of relevant portfolio/research management experience
  • Superior investment acumen with a strong understanding of various asset classes
  • Superior analytical skills, as well as being detail-oriented on both strategy and execution
  • Experience in data science and programming (e.g. Python, R Programming, SAS) is a plus
  • Knowledge in index investment and index methodology is a plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a range of teams and individuals and influence outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
