Job Summary

We seek a high-caliber professional to join our Commercial Banking department as Head of Real Estate Finance. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of commercial real estate and hotel finance transactions, assist in developing business strategy, solicit business, lead negotiations with clients, and manage complex transaction processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute commercial real estate and hotel finance transactions and related risk monitoring.
  • Assist Country Head of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) in developing and implementing CRE strategy to achieve business results aligning with overall Bank strategies.
  • Solicit business and lead CRE Product Team to work closely with Relationship Management Teams to support their marketing efforts and drive business pipeline.
  • Lead negotiations, discussions, and pitches with clients, and support business counterparts as well as sponsors to manage complex transaction processes.
  • Keep abreast of trends and developments of commercial real estate and hotel financing markets in Greater China, and align business strategy to enhance/maintain the Bank's market share/positioning.

Requirements

  • University degree holders, preferably in Banking, Finance, Commerce, Real Estate or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8-year relevant working experience in Banking/Finance/Syndicated Loan/Structured Finance industry with solid client-facing and relationship-building experience.
  • Seasoned product specialists with hands-on experience in business origination, structuring, identification & execution for local / cross-border loan transactions arranged in syndicated / club / bilateral format.
  • Sound knowledge of the Group and the bank products, and a strong network of contacts across all business areas.
  • Full professional proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese including but not limited to Mandarin.
  • Open to change with ability to influence, engage and lead positively and in an inspiring manner;
  • Fast learner, outgoing, passionate, well-organized with ability to work independently and to work with different internal and/or external parties to deliver constructive business results.
  • High level of customer-centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers.
