Job Title: Senior Localization Analyst

Job Summary:

Bloomberg is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Localization Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Localization Analyst, you will be responsible for providing high-quality translations of software, marketing materials, company information, and financial content for the Traditional Chinese-speaking market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate software, marketing materials, company information, and financial content from English to Traditional Chinese
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Engineering, to ensure accurate and timely translations
  • Develop and maintain terminology databases and style guides to ensure consistency in translations
  • Work closely with localization analysts, data analysts, and software developers to adapt products for the local market
  • Ensure high-quality translations meet Bloomberg's standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Traditional Chinese, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Traditional Chinese
  • Translation experience from English to Traditional Chinese
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication across teams
  • Motivated and dedicated work ethic to work as part of a team as well as independently, with minimal supervision and deliver quality results under tight deadlines
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills with the ability to lead projects, balance independent tasks / goals while contributing to team goals and collaborating with other team members
  • Solid understanding of localization processes and familiarity with CAT tools and terminology management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and deploying workflows using Python, SQL, JavaScript or similar language
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business intelligence tools including creation of dashboards for research and analysis of the relevant data set
  • Experience evaluating and annotating translations for quality
  • Ability to effectively adapt to changing tools, technologies and work-flows, and to actively contribute to improve processes for localization
  • Ability to collaborate with management in the development of product documentation and guidelines
