Adidas is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join our team in the Asia Pacific region. As a key member of our Global Operations department, you will provide comprehensive legal services to support our business growth and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience as a solicitor in a common law jurisdiction, preferably with relevant in-house experience. You should have a solid understanding of general corporate work and commercial contracts.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned lawyer to take on a leadership role in shaping the legal landscape of our operations in the Asia Pacific region. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality legal advice and guidance to our business stakeholders, ensuring that our activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to business stakeholders on their day-to-day operations;
  • Investigate and resolve complex legal matters within company policies to achieve a favorable outcome;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective legal strategies;
  • Manage and liaise with external legal service providers, such as law firms and consultants;
  • Ensure that all legal documents and agreements are properly drafted and reviewed.

In addition to your technical expertise, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels. Fluency in English is essential, with the ability to write and speak other Asian languages being a significant advantage.

Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with at least 4 years' post-qualification experience in a common law jurisdiction;
  • Proven track record of providing high-quality legal advice and support to business stakeholders;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues;
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business operations;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
