We are seeking a seasoned Legal Director to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our investment activities, you will oversee all legal aspects of our venture capital and private equity investments.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in deal structuring, exits, and portfolio management. You will provide expert legal advice on fund formation, governance, and regulatory compliance in Hong Kong and across jurisdictions in Asia.

  • Manage complex transactions, including term sheets, shareholder agreements, and investment contracts.
  • Conduct due diligence on target companies, identifying legal risks and advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with investment teams, external counsel, and portfolio companies to execute transactions efficiently.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a top-tier law firm or in-house at a VC/PE firm.
  • Strong understanding of Hong Kong corporate law, securities regulations, and cross-border investment frameworks.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) is mandatory.
  • Proven track record of leading high-stakes negotiations and managing complex transactions in the Asia-Pacific region.
