We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced High Performance Conditioning Specialist to join our team
About the Role:
- To develop, implement, and oversee safe and effective training programs for athletes under the guidance of senior staff.
- To supervise and manage the daily operations in the Fitness Training Centre, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
- To collaborate with the Sports Medicine Centre to provide comprehensive support for injured athletes, working closely with senior staff to ensure optimal recovery and return-to-play protocols.
- To maintain the fitness area and equipment, guaranteeing a high standard of cleanliness and organization at all times.
- To conduct fitness assessments and field-testing on athletes, utilizing data-driven insights to monitor progress and inform program adjustments.
- To work collaboratively with other disciplines within the Scientific Conditioning Center and other relevant departments, embracing the biopsychosocial operational model.
- To provide on-field support to elite sports teams locally and internationally, as required, contributing to the success of our athletes.
- To centralize and maintain accurate records of athlete training, analyzing trends and insights to optimize program effectiveness.
- To stay current with industry developments and advancements in Strength and Conditioning for peak performance, applying innovative strategies to drive excellence.
- To undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Strength and Conditioning, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Possession of valid certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist or equivalent qualification.
- Holding a current First Aid, CPR, and AED certificate, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Strength & Conditioning or as a full-time athlete within a high-performance system, trained in Strength and Conditioning for over 2 years.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with athletes, coaches, and management across all levels.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, applied to monitor athletes, record data, and report findings.
- Able to work irregular hours, perform under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office software applications, facilitating efficient data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English; proficiency in Putonghua and/or Chinese is a valuable asset.
- Familiarity with Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong, enhancing the candidate's overall understanding of the role's demands.
What We Offer:
- An estimated salary range: HKD $45,000 - HKD $65,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
