Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Specialist to join our Chief Control Office as Manager, Governance & Control. In this role, you will be responsible for managing risks in Digital Business Services and throughout the Bank, driving continuous improvements, and fostering an effective risk and control environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support to risk governance committees, preparing meeting materials and management reports for robust governance and oversight.
  • Establish strong collaboration with business and functions across the Bank, driving proactive identification, assessment, and root cause analysis of material risk issues and events.
  • Prepare and perform regular risk and control assessments, driving actions to address areas with increased risks and follow through to successful closure.
  • Conduct process deep dives and thematic reviews to assess controls effectiveness.
  • Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for continuous improvements in policies, processes, and controls to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Requirements

  • University Graduate in Business/Finance/Risk Management or related subject.
  • Over 5 years' experience in managing risks and controls at banks / financial institutions. Exposure to audit / compliance is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and abilities to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Great sense of ownership, attention to details, and analytical abilities.
  • Quick learner, agile, and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Good understanding of operational risk management, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is around HKD 800,000 - HKD 1,200,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Hang Seng Bank Limited offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, retirement plan, and employee assistance program.
