The Senior Development Manager is responsible for leading the development of banking systems, ensuring they meet business needs. This role involves collecting and analyzing user requirements, producing functional specifications, and overseeing the development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To collect and analyze user requirements to produce functional specifications that meet business needs.
  • To supervise or coordinate development teams to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Participate in development and testing activities, perform system support, configuration, and maintenance activities.
  • Manage project processes, documentation, progress reporting, status meetings, and escalation effectively.
  • Work closely with business analysts, vendors, and other functional teams on system requirement analysis, effort estimation, design, development, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting activities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years solid development experience in Java and/or Python.
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle, Websphere, Web service, XML, Javascript, MQ, ClearCase, shell scripts.
  • Working on banking systems, especially on Treasury area, would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience in treasury systems such as Murex, Summit, Calypso, etc preferred.
  • Familiar with SDLC.
  • Self-motivated and possess strong leadership, project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication skills would be a definite advantage.
  • Fluent in Cantonese and good in spoken & written English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
  • Willing to work under pressure in a competent, challenging, and team-working environment.
