Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Data Developer to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary package of HKD 50,000 - 60,000 per month, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Data Developer at HyperAir, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of data-related applications, partner APIs, pricing models, product content, and data scraping processes
  • Working closely with the dev team to understand, analyze, and clean data in preparation for analysis and visualization
  • Assisting in developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and data storage solutions
  • Aiding in the implementation of CMS, CRM, data aggregation, search engine algorithms, customer behavior prediction, web / app / SEO / SEM analytics, data analytics algorithms and tools, both custom-built and third-party
  • Driving big data analysis regarding on-site (web / app / product conversion) and off-site data (partners' products / SEO / SEM search traffic, market trend, social media, etc.)
  • Contributing to the design and development of data visualization and reporting solutions
  • Collaborating with other developers and data scientists on cross-functional projects
  • Continuously improving your knowledge and staying updated with industry trends and best practices in big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Adhering to company policies, guidelines, and quality standards
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A higher diploma, associate degree, bachelor degree or above in computer science, data science, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in at least one major programming language (e.g. React, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
  • Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
  • Exposure to big data, machine learning, AI technologies is a plus
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
