Business Development Manager

Johnson Controls seeks a seasoned professional to fill the role of Business Development Manager - Data Center Solutions. This key position will be based in Hong Kong, focusing on developing sales opportunities with accounts in the Data Center sector.
We are looking for an individual with 12 years of experience in sales or project management in the Data Center sector. Strong knowledge and experience in Data Center operations are essential, as well as good people networks and client relations within the sector.
The successful candidate will have a degree in any discipline, preferably related to building services or engineering. A strong technical background in PLC / control automation / BMS, etc. is required, along with experience in business development in the IT / System Integrator sector.
This role involves establishing deep partnering relationships with customer executive management teams and other decision-makers. Effective communication is crucial to ensure clients' expectations are exceeded across all Lines of Business (LOBs).
The Business Development Manager - Data Center Solutions will lead the development of each assigned Strategic Account Plan, coordinating with appropriate resources to utilize established account strategy processes. They will implement strategic account plans and associated action plans, ensuring executive management is informed of progress and account status.
This role also involves conducting regular Strategic Account Reviews for key accounts, maintaining account meeting cadence, and coordinating regular account meetings. The Business Development Manager - Data Center Solutions will track all opportunities with each assigned account using approved systems and qualify them using the JCI sales process.
Servicing as an executive-level point of escalation for customer satisfaction issues and providing information on current and future pursuits and pipeline across assigned accounts is also a key responsibility. Forecasting and tracking growth against established baselines and account plans are additional duties.
The estimated salary for this position is HKD 800,000 - HKD 1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
