About the Job
  • This role involves designing, developing, integrating, and tuning mapping and navigation systems for autonomous mobile robots.
  • The successful candidate will implement intelligent strategies for path planning and obstacle avoidance on a mobile robot.
  • Fusion of information from different sensors (IMU, LiDARs, encoders, etc.) is required to realize SLAM, robot localization, and navigation algorithms.
  • Building environmental maps (2D/3D) for navigation of autonomous mobile robots using LiDAR and depth camera data is a key responsibility.

Key Requirements:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field is essential.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python in a Linux environment are necessary.
  • Experience in designing and developing robotic systems using ROS and existing libraries and tools is required.
  • Developing, integrating, and analyzing sensor fusion algorithms such as extended Kalman filters, unscented Kalman filters, particle filters, or factor graphs is a must.
  • Familiarity with LiDAR SLAM, 2D/3D Vision SLAM, robot path-planning, and localization is expected.
  • Knowledge of SLAM frameworks and experience in applying Slamware-related libraries is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and improve are desired.
