Product Development Specialist

At Nike, we're looking for a talented Product Developer to join our team. As a Product Developer, you'll play a key role in bringing our iconic silhouettes to life. You'll work closely with our design, merchandising, and manufacturing teams to create products that reflect the soul of sport and inspire athletes to reach new levels of performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the product creation process from initial concept to commercialization and production.
  • Leading on-time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to effectively execute product development goals and deliverables.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for assigned products, including product specs, costing, and prototype notes.
  • Tracking and facilitating sampling and prototyping for products, identifying and addressing key issues and challenges in construction/manufacturing.
  • Monitoring and communicating progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date on market trends, team goals, new technology, and consumer needs throughout the development process.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Passion for apparel development and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of apparel manufacturing, costing, and garment fit.
  • Ability to read product specs and understand relationships.
  • Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with ability to work in an environment with high inter-dependencies between teams and cross-cultural colleagues.
  • Staunch believer in continuous self-improvement, leading with empathy, compassion, and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
