About the Role

The APAC Investment Platform is seeking a seasoned investment professional to join our leadership team as a Director. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our global investment platform, which spans seven investment functions and manages over $1 trillion in assets across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing our investment teams in the APAC region, developing and executing the department's strategic plan, and ensuring the APAC investment teams have the talent and resources they need to deliver excellent performance for our clients.

Investment Capabilities & Talent
  • Building diverse and inclusive teams to improve idea generation and client outcomes
  • Providing ongoing guidance, coaching, and feedback to investment professionals
  • Succession planning and identifying talent needs/gaps
  • Developing skills required for the future, including alternatives, investment science, and advanced data skills
  • Managing mid- and year-end performance and compensation review processes
Investment Performance, Integrity & Risk
  • Supporting investors to develop well-articulated investment philosophies and processes
  • Providing risk management, fiduciary, and supervisory oversight
  • Ensuring a successful operational model for each investor's research and investment process
  • Managing investment capacity for each team and strategy
  • Leveraging the investor's time to ensure they are focused on their research agenda
Infrastructure & Support
  • Ensuring necessary infrastructure and support is in place
  • Participating in new product development discussions globally and across functions
  • Connecting and collaborating with key support areas and across regions
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Fundamental research capability, including breadth of sector knowledge in Asia Equities
  • Superior organizational skills with ability to manage, prioritize, and complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with ability to articulate and integrate numerous viewpoints
  • Ability to navigate stressful situations with poise and focus on being a calming presence
  • Prior management experience of investors and/or first-hand investment experience
  • Strong academic credentials, including MBA and/or CFA (or equivalent)
