About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) professional to join our team as an Assistant Sustainability Manager. The successful candidate will assist the Sustainability Manager in carrying out tasks assigned to the ESG Strategy & Reporting Section.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with the Bank's ESG consultants to develop strategies and goals for ESG reporting, and assist in the preparation of the annual ESG Report.
  • Support the preparation of presentations, minutes, etc. for ESG governance meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of communication and training material for Group staff, and engage with staff members on ESG efforts via various channels and platforms.
  • Manage the Sustainability Champions programme to help align sustainability efforts across the Group.
  • Support group-wide efforts in promoting financial literacy.
  • Analyse ESG gaps through stakeholder engagement, ESG reporting, and disclosure exercises, and work with relevant teams to improve performance gaps.
  • Monitor emerging regulation and initiatives in the sustainability field to ensure that the Group stays updated on new developments.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external parties including ESG consultants, ESG ratings agency representatives, non-governmental organisations, sustainability practitioners, etc.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in sustainability, environmental management, business management or other related field.
  • 3-5 years working experience in a sizable organisation.
  • Solid experience in sustainability reporting and familiarity with sustainability reporting standards and ESG ratings.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, well-organised, adaptive, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight schedules with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and passion for driving corporate sustainability.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese including Cantonese and Putonghua.
