Job Title: Associate Director, Cost Management
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Cost Management to join our team at Turner & Townsend. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cost management activities on a range of projects, including preparation of cost plans, tender documentation, cost control, procurement management, construction cost management, and final account closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Planning and Control: Develop and implement cost plans, monitor and control project costs, and ensure that projects are delivered within budget.
- Procurement Management: Manage the procurement process, including tendering, contract administration, and supplier management.
- Construction Cost Management: Oversee construction cost management activities, including cost estimation, cost reporting, and cost analysis.
- Final Account Closure: Ensure that final accounts are accurately prepared and settled in a timely manner.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of cost management professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Client Interface: Interface with clients to understand their needs, provide cost management advice, and ensure that projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop relationships with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to the growth and development of the business.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree qualifications in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of post-qualification experience working on a range of projects within the private sector.
- Professional Membership: HKIS/RICS membership is a minimum requirement.
- Language Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Cantonese (Mandarin a bonus).
- Personal Qualities: Passion for work, strong commitment to producing high-quality work, and ability to motivate others to strive for excellence.
- Business Acumen: Excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and ability to drive outcomes, develop new business, and coordinate with construction and design teams.
