At ConnectedGroup, we are seeking a seasoned Director of Human Capital to lead our HR functions and drive strategic initiatives. This role is critical in supporting the Director of HR in policy development, HR systems management, staff development, and special projects that align with our institution's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for someone who can develop and implement HR policies, spearhead strategic HR initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure success.
  • This individual will contribute to organizational development in areas such as succession planning, employee engagement, and change management to enhance overall people management strategies.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth operation of the HR Office, including setting objectives, formulating performance metrics, and managing resource allocation.
  • They will also be responsible for introducing innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency within the HR function.
  • This includes developing and implementing strategies to mitigate HR-related risks through effective data management practices.
  • The selected candidate will oversee the creation and implementation of HR policies related to Mainland development initiatives.
  • They will design and implement training strategies that cater to the long-term needs of the institution, focusing on leadership development and compliance training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Business Administration or relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum 15 years of senior-level HR experience in large and complex organizations, preferably in publicly-funded institutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations of Hong Kong.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with the academic landscape in Hong Kong and Mainland China is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese), with fluency in Putonghua preferred.
