Job Overview

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Research Manager to lead our development initiatives. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing research plans, managing projects, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $ HK$ 65000 - HK$80000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement research plans in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage team research projects, including setting project timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring progress.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to gather input, provide updates, and ensure research objectives are met.
  • Ensure research activities adhere to ethical standards, research protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to research staff. Oversee their work, provide feedback, and promote professional development.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and other public forums.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Social Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a responsible leadership role.
  • Strong research skills, including good knowledge of social research and solid research and data analysis skills.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly to different stakeholders.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze problems and make informed decisions.
  • Adaptability and change management skills, with the ability to lead and manage team change initiatives.
