We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Insurance Risk Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Group Head of Insurance Risk Management to develop strategic direction and control frameworks for managing insurance exposures.

Job Summary

This role requires a qualified actuary with 10+ years of insurance industry experience. You will be responsible for supporting the development of risk appetites and ensuring that financial and insurance risks are aligned with our Board-approved framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategies to manage financial and insurance risks in line with our Risk Appetite Framework
  • Overseeing the implementation of risk policies and controls at Group and Business Unit level
  • Enhancing our insurance risk infrastructure for actuarial, product, ORSA, ALM, and risk control purposes
  • Maintaining comprehensive risk monitoring indicators for local and group-level insurance risks

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or qualification in finance or actuarial science from a recognized institution
  • At least 10 years of experience in insurance risk management, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills and project management expertise

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of actuarial and product development exercises, solid experience with valuation and capital management techniques, and excellent business acumen.
