Job Summary

The Global Applications Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software applications used by Meiyume globally. This role involves developing, supporting, and troubleshooting computer applications to ensure they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software applications that meet global business requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality software solutions within agreed-upon timelines and budgets.
  • Continuously research and implement new technologies and development practices to improve application performance and enhance functionality.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with local and global project teams to ensure cohesive and coordinated effort in application development.
  • Engage with internal or external customers to gather and understand their requirements and feedback.
  • Ensure that the developed applications meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of functionality, usability, and reliability.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in software development, including data protection and cybersecurity measures.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications, including user guides, system architecture, and API documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in software development, application design, and application support.
  • Extensive knowledge of programming languages, such as C#, Java, Ruby, C++, or Python.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, such as MySQL, Progress, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with user interface design principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibilities, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Experience working in a global environment with cross-functional and/or multicultural teams.
  • Familiar with managing external vendors and able to communicate with users across all levels.

Preferred Criteria

  • Knowledge of low-code development, such as OutSystems.
  • Experience working with automation technologies like UIPath, Microsoft, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete.
